이번에 관심이 있는 ServiceMix 4.0 가 올라와서 익숙해질 겸 정리해보려 합니다.

In the open source community ther are many different solutions for each problem. When you look for an open source ESB, however, you don't have that many options. Even though there are many open source ESB projects, not all of them are mature enough to be used to solve enterprise mission critical integration problems. ServiceMix is one of the open source projects that is mature enough to be used in these scenarios. ServiceMix, an Apache project, has been around for a couple of years now. It provides all the features you expect from an ESB such as routing, transformation, etc. The previous version was built based on JBI (JSR-208), but in its latest iteration, which we're discussing in this Refcard, ServiceMix has moved to an OSGi based architecture, which we'll discuss later on.

오픈 소스 커뮤니티에서는 각 문제에 대한 여러가지 해결책이 있습니다. 하지만, 오픈 소스 ESB 를 찾았을 때, 많은 옵션이 없습니다. 비록 많은 오픈소스 ESB 프로젝트들이 있지만, 기업의 미션 크리티컬한 통합 문제 해결에 사용하기에는 성숙하지 않습니다. ServiceMix 는 이러한 시나리오에 사용되기에 충분히 성숙한 오픈 소스 프로젝트 중 하나입니다. 아파치 프로젝트 중 하나인 ServiceMix 는 지금까지 2년 동안 개발되어 왔습니다. Routing, transformation 등과 같은 ESB 에서 기대할 수 있는 모든 기능을 제공합니다. 이전 버전은 JBI (JSR-208) 를 기반으로 빌드되었으나 이 Refcard 에서 논의할 가장 최근 증분의 ServiceMix 는 OSGi 아키텍처 기반으로 이동하였습니다. 그것에 대해서는 나중에 논의하겠습니다.

Java Business Integration (JBI) is a specification developed under the Java Community Process (JCP) for an approach to implementing a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The JCP reference is JSR 208 for JBI 1.0 and JSR 312 for JBI 2.0.
